1. Average1-6: Each Moving Average displayed on the Chart is
referred to as an average. You may have up to 6 different averages
displayed at once on the screen.
2. Period and Displacement: Define the period interval for the
moving average lines and Displacements. To add displacement in the period box,
type the period value first followed by a comma and then the
displacement value. (Example: 10, 20) In the example above you can see
that we have highlighted the displacement values in blue.
3. Type: Choose from Simple, Linearly Weighted and Exponentially
Smoothed calculations. Click on the drop down menu to specify the type.
4. Data: The average can be based on four values: Open, High, Low,
or Close. Click on the drop down menu and select the data value.
5. Style & Color: Average lines can be displayed as solid, dashed,
or dotted lines. Click on the drop down menu to specify the type of line
style. Also, change the color of the line by clicking on the color box
for the line ands elect a new color from the Color Palette.
6. Check this box to Display the Moving Average Lines. Only the
lines checked above will show on the chart.
7. Click on "Apply to Active Charts" if you would like to see your
selected settings on all the charts you have open. Click on "Restore
Factory Defaults" if you would like to restore original software
settings.
8. Help: Information from the manual has been integrated into the
software. When clicking on the "Help" button you will get specific
documentation based on the location of the button. You may also press F1
on your keyboard to access this information.
